My final project is about the memory of my family that died during the Holocaust. Their story is full of blanks and their lives add up to a single letter from 1940 and several black and white photos.

In attempt to reassemble their story, I reconstructed their last family picture into a colorful one, bringing them to life.

I integrated my inspiration with the works of the Korean artist Do Ho Suh which explores the memory of space and home.

The final collection consists of five women's total looks, made from a transparent I decomposed the patterns of the fabric dyed in the colors from the family photo.

created prints from the letter content and expressed the garment in the photo, blanks in the story using negative flower embroidery.

As a third-generation of Holocaust survivors, the collection expresses an attempt to reduce the generational gap. In the modern world, where all is documented and memories are losing their value, the collection will focus on the importance of

cherishing memories.
