My final collection is about women’s reality today and the way we are coping with exposure. Why, when we have the possibility to dress almost any way we want, we are covering ourselves with more and more layers? Does it matter what the rules say? After all, one look at the street clarifies what is allowed and what is not.

Why do people criticize the clothing of others? Is it due to jealousy of their confidence in themselves? Or maybe we’ve been put into frames of thought that are very difficult to break away from?

Our relation to clothing is ambivalent. We are trying to fulfill contradictory tendencies using our dressing and those tendencies create tensions. Tensions between our desire to attract attention, to be exposed and desired, to the will to be in control of our body and to feel safe. I’ve designed a women’s collection made up of layers that addresses the distance and tensions between the clothing and the

body.
