Lian Ben Simon // Dim memory
Inspired by a contemporary Colombian artist. In his work Oscar explores how images are related to memory, loss and the shaky nature of human life.
In addition, Oscar also explores the idea of the self-portrait, "in the process of change and destruction" - the same processes in his works are intended to represent the processes of creation, life, and final death. In my final project, I want to look deeper into those changing moments in Oscar's work, the miracle of life and death, the memory of something or someone who is no longer alive, or the memory of our moments in the past, and the process itself, of something that is strengthened by the choice to forget or repress it. Completely.

בעבודותיו אוסקר בוחן כיצד דימויים קשורים לזיכרון, לאובדן ולאופי הרעוע של חיי האדם.
בנוסף לזה, אוסקר בוחן גם את הרעיון של הדיוקן העצמי, "בתהליך מתקרב של שינוי והרס"- אותם תהליכים בעבודותיו נועדו לייצג את תהליכי הבריאה, החיים, והמוות הסופי.
בפרויקט הגמר שלי ארצה לבדוק לעומק את אותם רגעים משתנים בעבודותיו של אוסקר, את התעתוע בין חיים למוות, את הזיכרון שנישאר אחרי משהו או מישהו שכבר לא בחיים, או הזיכרון לרגעים בעברנו, ואת התהליך עצמו, ממשהו שחזק ביומיום דרך הבחירה לשכוח או להדחיק עד שנעלם לגמרי.

קולקציית גברים, סתיו 2021 ,שהיא תהליך של שכחה ושל זיכרון בו זמנית. קולקציית רחוב שמאופיינת במשחקי שכבות במשקלים שונים וטקסטורות שונות, עם פיתוחי בדים בטכניקות של רקמות ידניות ומעט הדפסים.
