My project deals with the tension between personal and public. Many sofas are thrown into the street.

This item is personal and intimate to me but on the way to the street it becomes garbage. it changes it’s ontological condition; The couch has no place on the street and is foreign to it. I decided to take these couches and dismantle them.

This violent move revealed their foundations, lining materials, straps and skeleton.

During my research, I began to think what I considered personal and public about men's clothing. And I remembered the collective masculine image and the personal masculine image I built and clashed with those ideals. The sofas I dismantled with a strong square structure to make them stable as the public male image and my personal image - delicate and fragile.

In the collection I will explore these things using the same structures that exist in the sofas I dismantled and bring together hard materials against soft and delicate materials.
